each set with a cabochon ruby within an 18k gold mount, suspending a short curb link chain with a roman coin drop at the bottom within a gold bezel. The coins both engraved "URBS ROMA - 4TH CENT A.D" Signed Bulgari and numbered and stamped for 18k gold.
The origin of Rome is told through the story of two twins brothers, Romulus and Remus, who were raised by a she-wolf and grew up to found the city of Rome. This Bronze Follis, showing Romulus and Remus suckling on the she-wolf, is thought to be one of the first ever commemorative coins. Issued under the reign of Emperor Constantine between 332 and 346 AD, the coins portrait features the patron saint of Rome, known as Roma.
