description

A pair of early, large sterling silver Georg Jensen five-light candelabra, design #224 by Johan Rohde, originally introduced in 1916. Each candelabrum features five elegant branches emerging from stylized leaves, with a striking finial of two intertwined fish resting upon a central sphere above a gracefully twisting bulb. The stem is adorned with horizontal beading and vertical lines overlaid with a Nordic-inspired pattern. These early examples exhibit an enormous amount of hand chasing, evident in their intricate and detailed craftsmanship
