Irish painter Donald Teskey began making observational paintings on a residency at the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in 1996.  He often returns to work in County Mayo as the rugged land forms of the coast and the ever-changing light of the North Atlantic hold great appeal for this esteemed painter. Donald astonishes with his abilty to keep his eye and hand keen to the task of absorbing inspiration and translating it into lush, powerful paintings. Tidal Rocks is a prime example.
