A Pair of Girandole Mirrors

Height: 45” Width: 32” Depth: 8”

description

This outstanding pair of Classical girandole mirrors are topped with opposing eagles with outstretched wings perched on large rock outcroppings. The rocks are flanked by cattail and foliate decoration. Molded circular surrounds with spherules, minute plaster decorations, and ebonized liners frame the convex mirrors.  Winding wire candle arms are adorned with leaves. The brass candle cups and bobeches are elegant with their die-cast decorations and gilt-lacquered finishes. Period prisms and headers hang from the glass prism holders. Large acanthus carved pendants are attached below the mirrors.
