DESCRIPTION

Lawrence Steigrad Fine Arts deals in Old Master and British paintings, drawings, and sculpture primarily dating from the seventeenth through nineteenth centuries, with a particular emphasis on portraiture. In the United States, we are the only gallery to continually feature portraiture of this period. It is a field of collecting in which wonderful works can still be obtained at a reasonable expense. Having produced shows and catalogs devoted to portraiture since 1989, we have been gratified by the results.

Many important paintings have been placed in American and European private collections, as well as numerous works borrowed for exhibitions and sold to the permanent collections of national and international museums.

The gallery was founded by Lawrence Steigrad and Peggy Stone in 1989 and has been thriving ever since.
